Sorry for the delay in getting an updated cap page. After last year's draft, things got kind of hectic for me. But I'm back and have a new and up to date cap page for you all. It is a pre-draft cap page. As always, some of this information is factual, some of this information is a bit of guesstimating. But I feel the numbers are fairly close to the mark. And without further delay, here is our updated cap page.

Miami Dolphins 2009 Salary Cap Version 1.0

How far under the salary cap are the Miami Dolphins?

That is a question asked on every fansite forum, every local radio show and by virtually every rabid Dolphins fan at some point during the season. Before free agency starts, everyone wants to know how much money the team has to spend on free agents. After the NFL Draft, fans want to know how much more money is left to spend to fill the remaining holes on the team. Some fans want to know just how much specific players count against the cap. They want to know if a player is being overpaid or whether he brings great production to the team at a great value. Others want to know how long a player is signed and how much of a cap hit the team will take if they release him.

There are several sites that provide information on the current cap status of the Miami Dolphins. But no site is dedicated solely to providing this information. That is until now. But we must warn you, the information provided here is not 100% accurate. With all the complexities of the NFL collective bargaining agreement and NFL contracts, it is virtually impossible to provide information that is 100% accurate for every single player. However, Dolphins Cap is dedicated to attempting to provide Dolphins fans with as accurate information as we can. We hope to provide relatively accurate answers to the question above.
